Premier: Royal directives aimed at achieving citizens' welfare

Manama, June 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives are always aimed at achieving the best for the citizens, stressing the government’s keenness on implementing the royal directives and meeting the people’s aspirations for security, stability and advanced services. The Prime Minister was speaking as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, members of the Council of Representatives and Shura members, in the presence of senior state officials. HRH Premier stressed that the need for collective and complementary work between the Executive and Legislative branches is growing amid the critical situation the region and the world are currently going through. This requires assuming patriotic responsibilities to meet the big challenges, and therefore, there is no room for leniency with whoever tries to impede the national march, he said. "We will not allow an internal challenge to be created for us," he said, adding that "regulatory procedures are necessary, as no country in the world can bear the consequences of instability on its economic and development process. They are facing enough external threats." HRH the Prime Minister expressed regret over some stances voiced towards the events in the region, noting that those attitudes are not neutral, and reflect non-awareness of the size of the terrorist threat that is putting the region’s security and stability at risk. The Prime Minister asserted that the Bahraini citizens have learnt from the experiences that the kingdom has gone through, and have become capable of countering and foiling any attempt to subvert the security and stability of the homeland. HRH Premier lauded the awareness of the Bahraini youth –males and females- of what is happening in the region, and their keenness to participate effectively and positively in serving the nation and ensuring it a brighter future, noting that the government has provided all the requirements that stimulate youth to be creative and acquire knowledge and science. Shura Council Chairman extended, on behalf of the audience, sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his constant directives to deepen Executive-Legislature cooperation and coordination. "HRH Premier laid solid foundations for cooperation between the two branches, which has entitled such collaboration to be a distinctive feature of the Bahraini parliamentary experience," Al Saleh Said.
