Premier stresses Bahrain's support for Yemen's legitimacy

Manama, June 30 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed Bahrain’s unwavering firm stances in supporting Yemen’s legitimacy and protecting its security, stability and Arab identity as well as the people's aspirations for development. The will of the people should determine the future of Yemen, and not those who support expansionist ambitions and sectarian discord, HRH Premier emphasised. HRH Premier made the statements while receiving the Yemeni Vice-President, Lieutenant-General Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar, currently on a visit to Bahrain to convey thanks from the Yemeni President, government and people to HM the King, the government and the people of Bahrain for the kingdom’s honourabe humanitarian, military and political stances towards Yemen. The vice-president conveyed to HRH the Prime Minister the greetings of the Yemeni President Abd-Rabo Mansoor Hadi and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain, under its leadership. HRH Premier affirmed the depth of the solid Bahraini-Yemeni relations, reiterating the continuity of the Kingdom’s effective participation in supporting legitimacy and efforts to restore security across Yemen through the Saudi-led Arab Coalition. What happened in Yemen has proved the strength of the firm and unified Arab stance against threats to the Arab security, and people’s identity, HRH Premier said. The Yemeni vice-president asserted that HRH the Prime Minister is "a political role model, a school of pan-Arabism and a pillar of security in the region." He also briefed the Prime Minister about the latest developments in Yemen, as well as the efforts being exerted to restore security and stability there in cooperation and coordination with the Arab Coalition forces. He also extended sincere thanks and appreciation to the Government of Bahrain for its authentic supportive stances towards Yemen, and its participation in providing military humanitarian support to the Yemeni citizens.
