Arab League anti-terrorism stance stressed

Manama, July 2 (BNA): The Arab League Assistant Secretary General for National Security Khalil Al-Dhawadi stressed the league’s unwavering stance against terrorism and interference in the Arab countries’ affairs. Speaking to Al-Ayam newspaper he underlined the importance of stability as a prerequisite to development, affirming rejection of any interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries. He also stressed the need for Arab countries to remain united, reiterating support to Bahrain in all measures taken to boost its security and stability. Al-Dhawadi underscored the efforts made by many Arab countries in combating terrorism, stressing the need to fight this phenomenon economically, culturally, ideologically and militarily. He also emphasised rejection of politicizing religion, pointing out the importance of rationalising the religious discourse to avoid sliding into the cauldron of anarchy and destruction
