CULTURAL EVENTS ONE WAY OF STRENGTHENING RI-A'LIA RELATIONS
Jakarta, Jan 16 (ANTARA) - The first secretary for cultural affairs at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Fiona Hoggart, said here Friday that a cultural exchange was one way to strengthen Indonesia-Australia relations.
Hoggart said that cultural events might cause closer people-to-people relationship of the two neighboring countries.
"Therefore, on the occasion of the Australian Day celebrated on every January 26, the embassy would strengthen these relations by holding a cultural event entitled Dreamtime Stories: Australian Indigenous Cultural Festival, to be held at Blitz Megaplex of Grand Indonesia from January 22 to 26, 2009," she said.
