DUTCH VICE MINISTER TO OBSERVE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECTS IN ACEH
Banda Aceh, NAD province, Jan 16 (ANTARA) - Dutch Vice Minister for Transportation and Water Management Tineke Huizinga-Heringa, was scheduled to visit Aceh to observe the progress of post-tsunami reconstruction projects there.
Spokesman for the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta Gonneke de Ridder, said here Friday that the visit was part of the vice minister's courtesy calls during his stay in Indonesia from January 18 to 23, 2009.
The visit is to implement Indonesia-Dutch science exchange program in water and governmental management, and climate change, Gonneke said.
During the visit to Banda Aceh and Jakarta, Gonneke said, the vice minister would observe some projects related to coastal defense, floods, drinking water, sanitation and climate change.
