Bahrain-Pakistan ties discussed

Islamabad, July 13 (BNA): The first meeting of the political consultations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was held in the Pakistani capital Islamabad to discuss ways to strengthen and expand bilateral relations between the two countries. The meeting on Tuesday was chaired on behalf of Bahrain by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Assistant Under-Secretary for Arab & Afro-Asian Affairs and Organizations, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, and by Additional Secretary (Middle East), Tasawar Khan, on behalf of Pakistan. The two sides discussed the opportunities to enhance cooperation at the bilateral and international levels in political, economic, military, health, education, cultural, tourism cooperation, and communication fields for the benefit of both countries and peoples and promote relations to wider horizons. The Bahraini delegation is on a visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan during the period from July 12 to 13 to hold several meetings with officials at the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Trade, and the Ministry of Health, to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral relations, reflecting the growing rapprochement in relations between the two friendly countries.
