Premier calls for consolidating national gains

Manama, July 17 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stressed the need to preserve national achievements amid fast-paced global developments, highlighting the significance of thwarting attempts to undermine Bahrain’s security and driving wedges among its people. HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today senior officials, intellectuals, journalists, economic figures and ambassadors. He affirmed that boosting security and stability will remain a top priority, pointing out that attempts by some people to serve foreign agenda were doomed to failure thanks to Allah the Almighty and the will of the Bahraini people. HRH the Prime Minister discussed with the audience local and international issues, praising awareness of the Bahraini people who, he said, were able by remaining united to deter all plots aimed at wreaking anarchy and division. He also underlined the need for more coordination among the GCC countries to achieve the GCC union. He said regional and international changes dictate to further strengthen the GCC entity for regional security is a priority to confront challenges. He added that the GCC union will always remain the most sublime goal, pointing out that it has become the need of the hour amid continuous conspiracies. "The circumstances undergone by the Arab and Islamic nations are painful. We have repeatedly warned against what is going around us and we have to draw lessons from that," HRH the Prime Minister said, urging to be more cautious and keen to achieve aspirations.
