Premier hails strong ties with Egypt

Manama, July 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has called for the need to enhance Arab cooperation and solidarity amid the critical situation the region is going through, and the attempts of some parties to spread chaos across the Arab Nation in a bid to divide it and fragment it. HRH Premier stressed the need to unify Arab stances vis-à-vis various issues in order to improve the current Arab conditions and achieve the aspirations of Arab peoples for more welfare and prosperity in light of the challenges that pose a serious threat to the security, stability and sovereignty of countries of the region. He also highlighted the importance of the Arab League as a symbol of Arab unity and a means to achieve Arab peoples’ aspirations for more unity and complementarity. The Prime Minister made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain, Suha Mohammed Rifa’a Al-Far, who handed over to him an official invitation from his counterpart, Sherif Ismail, to visit Egypt. HRH Premier requested the ambassador to convey his greetings to his Egyptian counterpart and thanks for the kind invitation, as well as best wishes of further progress and prosperity to Egypt’s leadership, government and people. HRH the Prime Minister affirmed the depth of the Bahraini-Egyptian relations which, he said, have always been based on mutual love and understanding, as well as joint coordination on various issues. "Egypt enjoys a distinguished position in the heart of every Bahraini citizen. The strength and security of Bahrain and Egypt are integral. We pray to Allah Almighty to bless dear Egypt with lasting security and stability." He said. HRH Premier expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of the Bahraini-Egyptian relations at all levels, in line with the keenness of the two countries’ leaderships and peoples to set an exemplary model of bilateral cooperation that benefits the two sides. The Prime Minister lauded the efforts exerted by Egypt to achieve Arab solidarity and complementarity, given its historical weight and role in supporting Arab issues. HRH Premier recalled with appreciation the role of the Egyptian community in Bahrain, and their contributions to the development and progress march witnessed by the kingdom in all fields. The Egyptian ambassador expressed thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his constant support to efforts to enhance bilateral relations, noting that the Bahraini-Egyptian ties are exemplary in the political, economic and cultural fields. She lauded HRH Premier’s sound and far-sighted visions towards various Arab and international issues, which, she said, reflects his pan-Arab stances and keenness on making sure that the Arab Nation is strong and capable of facing all challenges. She affirmed that Bahrain is loved by the Egyptian people in recognition of its supportive stances towards their country under all circumstances, and in appreciation of the respect of the Bahraini leadership and people for the Egyptian community and their good treatment of its members.
