Woks minister receives French delegation

Manama, Aug. 1 (BNA): Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Eng. Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf received at his office a delegation from the Bahrain French Towns Planning Initiative (BFTPI), in the presence of the Works Affairs Undersecretary Eng. Ahmed Al Khayyat, Roads Assistant Undersecretary Eng. Huda Fakhro, Roads Planning & Design Director Eng. Kadhim Abdul Latif, Advisor to HE the Minister Eng. Abdul Nabi Al Sabah, Central Planning Office Executive Coordinator Dominic Macpolin and Strategic Advisor Al Sharif Faisal bin Jameel. At the beginning of the meeting, the delegation delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the company’s performance since the initiative team started work in Bahrain with the Urban Planning General Directorate in the fields of planning and evaluation organizational aspects. Khalaf stated that the initiative reflects the strong relations between the two nations. He also stressed the importance of the strategic aspect in this initiative, which should be activated through carrying out proper scenarios, visions and surveys. It is hoped that the final presentation for the study will be presented by the Bahraini Towns Planning French Initiative Team by the end of September. The presentation will be submitted to the Supreme Committee that has recently been formed in response to directives from HRH the Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Minister Khalaf condemned the terrorist attack that French town Nice witnessed a few days back, and expressed the Ministry’s sympathy towards the victims.
