Bahrain's interest in enhancing cooperation with Japan highlighted

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain, Kiyoshi Asako, who conveyed to him thanks and appreciation of the Japan’s Emperor, Akihito, to him for his condolences and consolation over the victims of the earthquake that struck Kyushu, Island. He also asserted that the good feelings expressed by the Premier reflect the solid Bahraini-Japanese ties. HRH Premier reviewed with the ambassador the progress of the friendly bilateral relations, affirming Bahrain’s interest in broadening cooperation and coordination with Japan in various fields. He voiced satisfaction with the advanced level of the Bahraini-Japanese cooperation, stressing that the two countries’ relations have always been based on mutual respect and shared keenness on achieving their peoples’ interests. HRH the Prime Minister affirmed the strength of the economic and political ties between the two countries, highlighting their shared desire to develop cooperation between them. HRH Premier also reviewed with the ambassador the latest regional and global developments. Ambassador Kiyoshi Asako renewed his government’s invitation to HRH Premier to visit Japan. He also asserted his country’s admiration for the achievements attained by the Government of Bahrain, under the leadership of HRH the Prime Minister, which, he said, gained the Kingdom a leading position in various fields.
