Shaikh Nasser praises Bahrain Cycling Team, MERIDA partnership

Manama, Aug. 2 (BNA): HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, lauded the co-title sponsorship agreement signed between Bahrain Cycling Team and world-renowned bicycle brand MERIDA and stated that this partnership would have a positive impact on the team. Following the signing of this agreement, Bahrain Cycling Team will now be known as BAHRAIN MERIDA Pro Cycling Team with MERIDA becoming the provider of bikes for the team. "This sponsorship will enable our cyclists to shine and achieve the desired results on all fronts owing to the unique facilities it provides to the team. We are very confident that this partnership with an important player in the cycling world will help Bahrain’s cyclists to conquer podiums despite the fact that our team has been recently formed," HH Shaikh Nasser explained, before further adding "MERIDA is one of the top brands in the designing and manufacturing of cycles. We are confident that it will help us develop our team and boost our chances for success given the fact that we will have access to the advanced research the brand is conducting in the cycling field, which has significantly developed this sport." MERIDA has been a leader in bicycle design and development for over 40 years, and this partnership is part of Bahrain Cycling Team’s ongoing commitment to establishing a top contending team in the pro peloton and 2017 season.
