Miss World Australia acts as TAT brand ambassador
PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Aug 8 (TNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Sydney Office launched a new campaign to promote Thai tourism among Australians through Miss World Australia, who are now the TAT brand ambassador.
Madeleine Cowe, Miss World Australia and her four runners-up are visiting Thailand as the TAT brand ambassador.
To promote Hua Hin seaside town as one of the top destinations, they appeared in Thai traditional dress, visiting Hua Hin railway station, which is famous for the old-style wooden classic building.
They also went to The Mahathat Woraviharn Temple in nearby province of Phetchaburi to see exquisite Thai stucco art at the temple and they had a chance to make Thai sweets, "Aalua" candy.
Their trip to Thailand will be promoted through Australia’s Channel 10 and Miss World Australia Facebook Page. The public relations campaign is expected to reach over 1.6 million Australians.
Each year, more than 800,000 Australians visit Thailand, generating income of over 63 billion baht.
The campaign targets Australians who have never come to Thailand before. It is aimed at increasing Thailand’s first time visitors from Australia to experience Thai culture, food and sea. (TNA)
