BANGKOK, August 8 (TNA) - Thailand Post has issued commemorative stamps in the heptagon shape, only the second time of its kind in the country, to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the seventh cycle birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, which falls on August 12, 2016. The commemorative stamps are 43 millimeters in diameter and printed in four colors on foil sheets with embossed pictures of Her Majesty the Queen and the “Thailand 100 BAHT” word in 22-karat gold foil. The 500,000 commemorative stamps will be available for public purchase at local post offices nationwide, starting from August 12, at the price of 117 baht per set of four stamps. Thailand Post issued similar heptagon-shaped stamps for the first time on December 5, 2011 to celebrate the seventh cycle birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. (TNA)
