HRH Premier: Citizens' welfare top priority

Manama, Aug. 8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa warned against dangers facing the nation amid threats to turn this fast-developing part of the world into a hot spot. He said dealing with the challenge can only be through full cooperation and a unified stance.
HRH the Premier was speaking as he received members of the Shura and Representatives Councils in the presence of senior officials.
He said no one can care about the interests of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Arab countries better than the people living in them and who have to confront threats with all available means and through cooperation.
He also called for vigilance against ongoing attempts to sow sedition and division among countries and peoples. "Those who are trying to do so are aware that union is strength and division is weakness and they are annoyed by any GCC or Arab effort for unity," HRH the Prime Minister affirmed.
He also underlined the government’s success to provide citizens with various services, commending cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to boost national welfare. He underscored keenness of the executive branch to carry out MPs’ proposals within the framework of available resources in order to meet citizens’ aspirations.
HRH the Prime Minister pointed out that the government is facing many challenges with regard to its development efforts. However, he asserted those challenges will never stand as an obstacle in front of the government’s ambition for the nation and citizens. He also underscored keenness to give citizen-oriented projects top priority to optimise services and promote welfare.
