BACA discusses boosting cultural infrastructure

Manama, Aug 8 (BNA): Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikh Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa today received Chairman of Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company BSC, Abdulrahman bin Yusuf Fakhro. Ways to maintain cooperation to boost Bahraini cultural movement were discussed. BACA President called for concerted efforts to enhance cultural movement, underlining the civilized and humane elements enjoyed by Bahrain that bolster its regional and international standing as a cultural destination. She noted Bahrain's preparation for receiving 2018 when Muharraq will be the Capital of Islamic Culture. She pointed the role of Bahrain Commercial Facilities Company in promoting the cultural infrastructure as a key sponsor of Bu-Maher fort Information Center. She noted the private sector's investments in the field of culture which have exceeded BD40 million. Fakhro praised the BACA cultural achievements, welcoming continuing cooperation to promote Bahrain cultural standing.
