Public Security Chief chairs joint GCC meeting

Manama, Aug. 9 (BNA): Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan today chaired the fourth meeting of the supreme committee of GCC joint exercise "Arabian Gulf Security 1". The exercise will be part of the implementation of the decisions of Their Highnesses and Excellencies GCC Interior Ministers to tackle regional security challenges. The Chief welcomed heads of the delegations and praised the efforts of the participants from brotherly countries. He said the planning for the exercise was on the right track. The meeting focused on the final suggestions for the exercise to be presented to Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. The meeting recommended to set a comprehensive media plan to highlight the efforts of the participants in organising the exercise.
