2nd round of Futsal League for Youth Centres kicks off

Manama, Aug. 13 (BNA): The second round of the 4th edition of the Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Futsal League for Youth Centers and the first League for People with Disabilities under the slogan #meeting_of_generations, kicks off with 4 matches for the first and second group today, Sunday, at Riffa Club in the hall of Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad Al Kahlifa, May God rest His Soul.
In the first match, Al Shakhoora Youth Center will face Hamala Youth Center for the lead of the first group. Al Shakhoora is currently at the top of group with more goals than Hamala. Both of the teams won in their first matches, Al Shakhoora defeated Al Qarya with two goals and Hamala defeated Bu Quwah with 3-2.
In the second match, Bu Quwa team Youth Center is hoping for their first victory by defeating Al Qarya Youth Center, as both of them lost in the first round.
As for the third match, Dumistan Youth Center will face Karranah Youth Center. The former is looking to have their second victory after defeating Al Jasra in their first match. Karranah team on the other hand hopes to recover from their loss against Al Daih Youth Center and have their first victory.
The last match will pit Al Daih Youth Center against Al Jasra Youth Center, with Al Daih hoping to have their second victory and Al Jasra looking to recover from their loss.
Al Khayat praises the support of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad
Mr. Hussain Al Khayyat, Board Member of the Northern Governorate and representative of the 12th District, praised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sport and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, in supporting the youth and sports movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This came during Al Khayat's visit with MP Abdulla Ashoor, Board Member of the Northern Governorate and representative of the 6th District, to one of matches of the 4th edition of the Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Futsal League for Youth Centers and the first League for People with Disabilities matches.
During Al Khayat's visit to the match between Zayed Town and Zallaq Youth Centers, he met on the sidelines with Omar Abdulaziz Bukamal, Director of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Office and member of the Higher Organizing Committee, Mr. Hamad Al Jaber, Director of the League.
Al Khayat praised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sport and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, for creating this Futsal event, and he praised the initiative of His Highness to hold a league for people with disabilities for the first time.
Al Khayat pointed out that His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, spares no efforts in supporting the youth and sports in the Kingdom, noting that His Highness is always keen to support the youth all forms of sports which shows the importance of young people as a key element in the community.
He further explained that the initiative of creating a League for people with disabilities, reflects on the humanitarian outlook of His Highness, and his keenness to integrate them into society, to help them take advantage of their capabilities and reach their potential in various sectors, as well as a step to link Sports with humanitarian objectives.
Al Khayat also praised the organizing committee for highlighting the Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Futsal League for Youth Centers, which reflects the aspirations of wise leadership in developing the youth and sports sectors. He stressed that the large participation of youth centers shows the great keenness of the organizing committee to turn the League into a success, by bringing together a large number youth from different villages and cities of the Kingdom.
He went on to explain that the output of the League is outstanding, noting that the care of youth talents and enthusiasm from participating centers is a part of the output achieved by the league.
Al Khayat praised the members of the League's organizing committee for their role and efforts in making the league a success.

Two matches in the preliminary round of the Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Futsal League for Youth Centers stole the attention for the day.
The first match was in Group 7, where Ras Ruman Youth Center faced Al Naim Youth Center. Both teams were performing excellently and the result was heading for a draw, with Ras Ruman team leading 3-8, but all of that changed when Ali Abdulhussain managed to score a goal for Naim in the last 5 seconds. It was a moment that put the crowd in excitement and ended up with both teams having to the match share point.
The second match, which is part of Group 8, had Salmabad Youth Center facing Hoora and Gudaibiya Youth Center. Salmabad was leading with 2-1, then Hoora and Gudaibiya Youth Center turned the match in their favor with 2-3, but Salmabad bounced back and ended the match with 6-4, earning their victory.
Aradi: Extraordinary organization and we want to make-up in the next match
Arad Youth Center player praised the ‘extraordinary’ level of organisation to the Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League. "All aspects in the tournament have been taken of, and this reflects the huge efforts being made by the organisers. The number of spectators in the tournament played an integral part in making the matches more exciting," Ahmed Al Aradi said, adding that his team is eyeing to make-up their first match loss in their second game.
Karzakan Assistant Coach: Happy for our first win and we want to repeat it
Karzakan Youth Center Assistant Coach, Sayed Adnan Abdullah expressed his utmost happiness at his team’s first victory over Arad Youth Center, in their first game of the Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League.
"Our team performed well in the first match, and it was a well-earned victory. Each player followed the instructions throughout the game, and this has contributed in the win," Abdullah said. "We will enter the second match with our spirits high, and we are looking forward to make it two out of two," he stated.
104 goals scored in the first round
The first round of the group stage of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League witnessed 104 goals in 16 matches with an average of 6.5 goals per game. Group Four, Five, Eight have been the ones witnessing the most scored goals with 15 goals, apiece. The average goal scoring in the remaining groups is eight in the first round. Topping the team scoring chart is Abu Saiba Youth Center, having trashed Isa Town Youth Center 10-2. Hassan Maki of Abu Saiba Youth Center is leading the player scoring chart after finding the net five times.

Chairman Deputy of Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation’s Board of Directors hailed the initiative of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth & Sport and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, to include the 1st edition of the Disabled Futsal League within the 4th edition of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League.
"This initiative mirrors HH’s keenness to implement the wise leadership’s instructions to support and back people with disabilities and special needs through designing and launching programmes and events aimed at discovering their talents and help integrating them into Bahraini society," Mr. Al Sindi said.
The Chairman Deputy witnessed part of the league accompanied by several members of the federation, including Abdurazaq Al Hermi and Ibrahim Muhanna. He also met with Mr. Omar bu Kamal, the Manager of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Media Office, and Hamad Al Jaber the league Manager in the presence of Abdullah Ashoor and Hussain Al Khayyat who are members in the Northern Governorate Municipal Council.
"This initiative isn’t unusual for HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa who has made us accustomed to witness launches of similar initiatives to develop the abilities and capabilities of disabled people. This event represents a great opportunity for us to discover more talents in the field of sport, who we eventually embrace and integrate into our programmes so that they can then wear the Kingdom of Bahrain’s colours in overseas events," Mr. Al Sindi noted.
"We in the federation are very happy with the initiative launched by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who made it possible for us to be present in this event. I would like to seize this opportunity to thank HH for his unwavering efforts to develop the youth and sport sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain," he added.

The Organising Committee of Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League launched an Instagram account to provide extensive coverage of the league. The account hhskleague, features the daily match schedule as well as the results. Moreover, photos taken during the matches are also posted to the account in addition to videos. This move was made as part of the Organising Committee’s belief in the importance of media in enriching the organising work of the league. The coverage will continue in the second round of the league. Worth noting is that Bahrain Sports Channel is also covering the matches daily and broadcasts them the next day. The matches will be aired live starting from the second round in the Bahrain Union for People with Disabilities at Isa Town Sports City.
