Citizens' role in maintaining security stressed

Manama, Aug. 14 (BNA): Southern Governor Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa stressed the responsibility of citizens in maintaining security, being the front bulwark of the nation. He warned against plots targeting national unity, pointing out the importance of family upbringing in boosting the culture of community partnership and its role in maintaining security and stability. The Southern Governor was speaking on the sidelines of a celebration held by the Southern Governorate to honour Deputy Chief of the Public Security Brigadier Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. It was attended by Southern Governorate Police Director General Brigadier Mubarak Abdullah bin Hewil, MPs Khalifa Al Ghanim and Mohsin Al Bekri, Southern Governorate Municipal Council Head Ahmed Al Ansari, Labour and Social Development Ministry Undersecretary for Labour Affairs Sabah Al Dusari, officials and a number of citizens from the Southern Governorate. The Southern Governor paid tribute to the leadership for their keenness on stability and national unity, thanking Bahraini citizens for their support to the national efforts made by the public security bodies personnel. He urged Bahraini people to stand united and assume the responsibility of contributing to raising awareness of the youth of not succumbing to the extremist ideology which has nothing to do with Islam. He asserted the role of the family in preparing an active and productive generation capable of serving their nation and people. He also praised the efforts of the Deputy Chief of the Public Security when taking charge of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate in promoting security and community partnership. He also commended the major role of the Southern Governorate Police Director General Brigadier Mubarak Abdullah bin Hewil, wishing him continuous success.
