Woongjin Polysilicon wins 693 bln won order from Hyundai Heavy
SEOUL, Jan. 19 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's Woongjin Holdings Co. said Monday that its polysilicon unit Woongjin Polysilicon has signed a 693 billion won (US$507.7 million) deal with Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. to supply polysilicon.
Under the deal, Woongjin Polysilicon will provide the essential raw material for
solar cells to the world's top shipbuilder between 2011 and 2015.
Woongjin Polysilicon was set up in July last year.
