Commander-in-chief pays homage to fallen serviceman

Manama, Aug. 18 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, was at the forefront of those who received the body of fallen BDF serviceman, Sergeant-Major Isa Abdulla Badr Eid, who lost his life while carrying out his duties within the Saudi-led Arab Coalition in the southern borders of Saudi Arabia. The body of the fallen soldier arrived today at the Isa Air Base on board a Royal Bahraini Air Force (RBAF) aircraft. A special military ceremony was held for the deceased at the Isa Air Base. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa, Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Dhiyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, Commander of the Royal Guard’s Special Force, Major Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and senior BDF officers performed the military salute to the fallen serviceman. Soldiers also saluted the body of the deceased. A number of senior BDF officers, as well as the family and relatives of the late soldier were also present. The commander-in-chief conveyed the profound condolences of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander, to the family and relatives of the fallen serviceman and his BDF brethren, and his supplication to Allah the Almighty to bestow His mercy on him and to rest his soul in eternal peace and to grant his relatives with fortitude and patience. Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa expressed appreciation of the BDF personnel for their dedication, patriotism and efforts, and of the tremendous role they are playing, alongside their brethren from the Arab Coalition. He also lauded their high morale, professionalism and sense of discipline in carrying out their sacred mission.
