Bahrain condemns terror attack in Turkey

Manama, Aug. 21 (BNA): Bahrain has condemned the terrorist attack in the Turkish city of Gaziantep that claimed scores of lives and wounded many others. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for those injured as a result of the terrorist attack that aims to destabilize security and stability. "The ministry affirms its solidarity with the Republic of Turkey in its fight against extremism, violence and terrorism," the statement said. The ministry "renews the unwavering position of the Kingdom of Bahrain in denouncing terrorism in all its forms and manifestations." "It also calls for concerted international efforts to eradicate the menace of terrorism which constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security, and to eliminate its root causes and dry up its funding sources," the ministry said.
