Premier, Crown Prince call for improving government performance

Manama, Aug. 22 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, at the Gudaibiya Palace. The two leaders reviewed a number of domestic issues, and underlined the government’s interest in adopting more initiatives that upgrade its performance to ensure that the pace of modernisation and development matches the requirements of the current phase and enhances the ability to face the existing challenges. HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince affirmed their full support to the meetings between leaders of government institutions, given their importance in coming up with visions that modernize the administrative work of the government apparatus to improve the performance of the government departments’ personnel in order to meet the citizens’ expectations, reflect positively on the government’s performance and improve the quality of the services provided for the citizens, in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives in this regard. They stressed that efforts to develop the government apparatus will continue unabated so that the citizen-oriented services will meet their aspirations.
