National development role of youth praised

Manama, Aug. 24 (BNA): The Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa has commended the fourth edition of the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Centres Futsal Tournament as the optimal opportunity to discover talents among the large numbers of young sportspeople who converged from all over the Kingdom of Bahrain. The governor recently attended part of the Zallaq versus Ras Rumman match where he was received by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS)'s Assistant Undersecretary for Youth Associations and Centres, Dr. Shaikh Saqr bin Salman Al Khalifa, alongside with the Director of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad's Media Office Omar Bu Kamal and the Tournament Director Hamad Al Jaber, in the presence of media specialist Nasser Mohammed and the Director of Radio Bahrain Younus Salman from the Ministry of Information Affairs. The assistant undersecretary said the tournament was part of the outstanding concepts and initiatives of HH Shaikh Khalid and his support of the youth and sports sectors in Bahrain. The governor praised the keenness of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa on supporting youth and sports development in the kingdom, considering youths as the backbone of national development as they possess high efficacy in all domains particularly in sports arenas.
