Premier directs poet’s medical treatment abroad

Manama, Aug. 27(BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa ordered THAT Bahraini poet Ali Al-Sharqawi be sent abroad to continue his MEDICAL treatment. He directed the Ministry of Health to act promptly and take the necessary measures in response to a plea submitted by the poet who requested to be treated abroad. The Premier, who had been following-up the condition of Al-Sharqawi ever since he fell sick, issued the directives which come in line with other decisions to ensure patients’ healthcare. Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh paid tribute to HRH the Premier for the directives which, she said, reflect keenness on people’s health and care for their well-being. In statement today, she said that she had instructed the ministry’s officials instantly to implement the Premier’s directives to follow-up the patient’s health condition and ensure his treatment abroad. She commended the Premier’s directives to the ministry and other relevant authorities to provide patients with the adequate treatment, whether in Bahrain or abroad, and ensure their health and wellbeing top all priorities. The minister and all health officials extended their thanks to HRH the Premier, hailing his sound directives and keenness on alleviating patients’ suffering. She lauded the Premier’s constant follow-up of health services and keenness on reaching out to patients to ensure the adequate treatment that soothes their suffering.
