Royal Turkey visit to boost bilateral economic relations

Manama, Aug. 27 (BNA): Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Khalid Abdulrahman Al-Moayyad, has highlighted the important economic dimensions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to Turkey, citing the trade, investment and cultural agreements signed between the two countries on the sidelines of the royal visit. The private sector in Bahrain relies heavily on the efforts of the leadership, represented by HM King Hamad, to open new and wider horizons of bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially the economy, BCCI chief said, adding that the visit will provide more facilities to set up joint investment ventures that benefit the Bahraini business sector. He stressed that BCCI would take advantage of the GCC-Turkish Business Forum, to be hosted by the kingdom in November, to upgrade business ties with Turkey. Al-Moayyad pointed out that the all the agreements signed on the sidelines of the visit, especially the Legal Cooperation Agreement relating to Civil, Trade and Penal issues and the Protocol on amending and completing provisions of the agreement between the Government of Bahrain and the Turkish Government on aviation services, would have a direct positive impact on bilateral relations, especially the promising economic, trade, industrial and service fields. BCCI chairman lauded the unwavering efforts exerted by HM King Hamad to develop Bahrain’s relations with various countries in all fields, particularly the economic and trade ones, adding that the royal efforts will inform the international business community about the available opportunities in the kingdom, as well as about its the investment incentives and business-friendly atmosphere. Al-Moayyad extended deepest thanks and appreciation to the kingdom’s leadership, represented by HM King Hamad, HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, for the facilities they have provided for to the private sector, and efforts to open up horizons of cooperation with various countries of the world.
