Premier affirms support to Egypt’s security

Manama, Aug. 29 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the President of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation (ETUF), and Chairman of the Manpower Committee at Egypt’s House of Representatives, Gebaly Mohammed Al-Maraghy. The Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al-Hurr)’s Executive Council Chairman, Yaqoob Yussef Mohammed, and Head of the Arab and International Relations Department, Ali Abdulla Al-Binali, were also present. HRH Premier lauded the steady progress of the Bahraini-Egyptian relations in various fields. He also praised the crucial role played by ETUF in supporting the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation at Arab and international gatherings, calling for strengthening cooperation between the two organisations. He affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to broaden cooperation with Egypt for the best interests of the two brotherly peoples. In this regard, HRH the Prime Minister praised the role played by Egypt in enhancing joint Arab action and defending the unity and stability of the Arab Nation, given its significant Arab and regional weight. He wished Egypt and its people further progress and prosperity. HRH Premier reiterated Bahrain’s support to everything that contributes to preserving Egypt’s security and stability, stressing that the security of Egypt is integral to that of Bahrain. HRH Premier lauded the deep-rooted trade union movement in Egypt, stressing the importance of exchanging visits between officials from the two countries to enhance cooperation in labour issues. The Prime Minister also valued highly the role played by the Egyptian expatriate community in Bahrain, and commended their efforts in supporting the development march currently witnessed by the kingdom in all sectors, affirming that Egyptian expatriates enjoy all respect and appreciation in Bahrain. Gebaly Al-Maraghy extended sincerest thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his efforts to consolidate joint Arab action, praising the Premier’s farsighted vision on the challenges faced by the region. He also praised the advanced labour and trade union movement in the kingdom, and hailed the gains of workers in Bahrain. He also lauded the care of the Bahraini leadership and people for the expatriate Egyptian community in the kingdom. He affirmed the Egyptian Trade Union Federation’s keenness to avail of Bahrain’s advanced labour legislation and laws.
