GOV`T PLANS TO GIVE 6 TLN STIMULUS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE

Jakarta, Jan 19 (ANTARA) - National Development Planning Minister Paskah Suzetta said the government is planning to increase the budget for infrastructure through the fiscal stimulus fund.
The increasing budget for infrastructure is expected to support the economic growth.
"The extra amount of fund which will be put to infrastructure sector reached six trillion rupiah because the sector will absorb many workers and also contribute in economic growth," Suzetta said here on Monday.
The six trillion rupiah fund will be taken from the second fiscal stimulus which reaches 15 trillion rupiah.
The fund will be used to construct roads, irrigations, bridges and aqueducs.
Most of the fund will be given to the Public Works Ministry and the rest to the transportation Ministry, he said.
"The priority of the construction is roads, water resources and others related to national program of people empowerment," said Suzetta.
