Premier lauds Bahraini women's role in community

Manama, Sept. 5 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa underlined the important role of Bahraini women in the community and their high competence in political, economic and legislative fields. HRH the Premier was speaking as he received today Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, members of the Representatives and Shura Councils and a number of officials, in the presence of former Speaker of the Representatives Council Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani. HRH the Prime Minister stressed the need for concerted efforts between the constitutional institutions to pass legislation aimed at boosting the role of Bahraini women and safeguarding their rights in line with Sharia principles. He reviewed local issues, affirming the government's keenness on citizens' welfare by optimizing health, educational, housing and social services. He affirmed that Bahrain's sound legislative and services infrastructure aims to preserve human rights, pledging to continue the efforts to further promote citizens' welfare. HRH the Premier urged to tackle Arab issues without any foreign interference, warning against challenges and conspiracies targeting the Arab nation to undermine stability in the Arab countries. He called to shun differences and stick to unity to bolster the Arab presence in international gatherings and deter attempts to tamper with regional security.
