Chinese delegation visits Central Bank of Bahrain

Manama, Sept. 6 (BNA): Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj has received a Chinese delegation headed by Shenzhen Mayor Xu Qin. The delegation was visiting Bahrain to promote investment opportunities and discuss future cooperation and partnership between Bahrain and China. Al Maraj welcomed the delegation and presented an overview of banking and financial sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the CBB's regulatory and supervisory role over financial institutions. Governor Al Maraj also briefed Mayor Qin on Bahrain’s positive experience in banking and financial services in the region. Al Maraj stated that this visit would strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries, especially the city of Shenzhen, affirming his keenness to provide every opportunity for the development of these relations.
