HRH Premier backs Saudi Arabia

Manama, Sep. 6 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that Saudi Arabia is strong with its leadership and stances, and will not be shaken by any statements against it, stressing that the Arab and Islamic worlds have to show support to Saudi stances, and join ranks in countering "desperate" attempts to undermine Saudi Arabia's huge efforts in various fields, including its dedicated endeavours in the service of Haj pilgrims. Duty requires Muslim and Arab citizens to back Saudi Arabia's measures to take care of Muslims' sanctities and provide security and safety for Haj pilgrims, he said, stressing that the Islamic holy sites are in good hands as they are overseen by the Saudi leadership and government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He called on Haj pilgrims to be soldiers in protecting Islamic sanctities through supporting the efforts of the Saudi government in this regard, and cooperating with the competent authorities in regulating Haj and ensuring that pilgrims perform rituals easily and safely. HRH the Prime Minister made the statements while receiving a number of Royal family members, senior state officials and citizens at the Gudaibiya Palace today. He exchanged with the audience cordial talks on national issues. HRH Premier then lauded the role of financial and banking institutions in supporting and revitalising the national economy, hailing their successful performance despite global economic challenges. The Prime Minister commended the tremendous efforts exerted by the officials of the banking and financial institutions to expand their activities and operations in order to boost the economy, on the one hand, and appeal to Bahraini competencies, on the other. He also valued highly the role played by those establishments in boosting trade and serving society.
