SCW calls to establish EOUs

Manama, Sept. 8 (BNA): The Supreme Council of Women (SCW) has renewed its call to various private and public sector entities to establish Equal Opportunity Units (EOUs) in them.
The Council expressed its readiness to provide all EOUs with all the expertise and support to ensure their sustainability as per the Civil Service Bureau (CSB)'s Circular 4/2014 which obliges all governmental ministries, directorates and institutions to create their relevant equal opportunity units (EOUs).
The Council expressed its gratitude and appreciation of the various bodies that have established their relevant EOUs .
The council experts held regular meetings during August 2016 with the concerned officials at the Council of Representatives, Labour and Social Development Ministry, Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), National Quality Assurance Authority (QAA), Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), Bahrain Aluminium Extrusion Company (Balexco), the SMEs Development Directorate in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Gulf Aluminium Rolling Mill Company (GARMCO), Bahrain Development Bank (BDB), Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco), Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), and Tatweer Petroleum Company to familiarize them with the National Strategic Plan for Revival of Bahraini Women 2013-2022, the National Model for Inclusion of Women's Needs and Requirements, follow up of EOU committees business and promotion of the fifth edition of the Supreme Council of Women (SCW) President Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Empowerment of Women.
The EOUs in governmental and privates institutions are duty-bound to support the Supreme Council of Women (SCW)'s efforts and promote them to enforce the principle of equal opportunity in accordance with the National Plan for Revival of Bahraini Women and the inclusion of women in government developmental plans.
