Saudi Arabia strategic depth for Arab, Muslim nations

Manama, Sep. 7 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that Saudi Arabia constitutes the strategic depth of the Arab and Muslim nations. Saudi Arabia enjoys a distinguished political and religious status, so everyone is keen to defend it against whoever attempts to accuse it wrongly or incite against it openly for well-known purposes in order to undermine its achievements in various fields, particularly regarding its successful organisation of Haj which is highly appreciated by the Arab and Muslim worlds, he said. HRH Premier stressed that Bahrain, like other Arab and Islamic countries, admires Saudi Arabia's successive successes in the Haj season, stressing that the facilities provided by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to Haj pilgrims are recongnised by everybody, and only the ungrateful deny it. "Saudi Arabia enjoys a special status in the hearts of all Arabs and Muslims, and the initiatives of its wise leadership in championing Arab and Islamic causes are innumerable," he said while receiving the Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Malek Al Al-Sheikh, at the Gudaibiya Pace today. The ambassador extended an invitation to HRH Premier to attend the reception ceremony to be held by the Saudi Embassy on Saudi Arabia's National Day. HRH the Prime Minister confirmed support to the Bahraini-Saudi relations, highlighting the two brotherly countries' deep-rooted relations, kinship ties and common destiny. He underlined the kingdom's pride in the steady progress of its relations with Saudi Arabia, and satisfaction with the progress of positive bilateral cooperation, noting that the two countries are keen on opening up new and wider horizons of joint cooperation. HRH Premier reviewed with the Saudi envoy regional and global developments, lauding, in this regard, the stances of the Saudi leadership towards all Arab and Islamic issues. He also hailed the leading role of Saudi Arabia in supporting efforts to promote security and stability across the region and the world.
