Investment in health sector discussed

Manama, Sep. 7 (BNA): Supreme Health Council (SHC) Chairman Lt-Gen Doctor Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has received a delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina Center for commercial, cultural and economic development exchange (Bahrain branch). Strengthening cooperation between the two sides and investment in health sector were discussed, as well as the exchange of expertise and investment in health care field in the Republic of Bosnia. SHC Chairman stressed Bahrain's interest in promoting the integration of health services and partnership between the government and private sector through encouraging medical tourism and investment in the health sector. He pointed out the leadership's directives on encouraging the private sector to invest in health sector through attracting quality projects to boost Bahrain standing as an ideal destination for medical tourism in the region. He briefed the delegation on the various investment opportunities offered, chiefly in the health and medical sector, as well as the efforts of the SHC and National Authority for the Regulation of Health Professions and Services in attracting health investments. The delegation highlighted the fast growing Bahraini and Gulf investments in Bosnia during the past years, pointing out the importance of the exchange of visions and introducing investment opportunities available in health sector.
