Deputy King: Opportunities for greater investment and economic collaboration between Bahrain and Turkey

Manama, Sep. 8 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met the Republic of Turkey’s Chief Adviser for Middle East Affairs, His Excellency Sefer Turan, and an accompanying delegation, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, the Deputy King highlighted His Majesty King Hamad’s directive for the Kingdom to continue strengthening ties with the Republic of Turkey, which demonstrates the importance Bahrain places on the bilateral relationship and the recognition of Turkey’s pivotal role in progressing regional development. His Royal Highness went on to acknowledge the many existing areas of Bahraini-Turkish cooperation, saying that the countries’ bilateral cooperation has been strengthened by state visits, including His Majesty King Hamad’s most recent visit to Turkey. His Royal Highness emphasised that both countries should continue to explore a range of opportunities for economic collaboration, and that every effort should be made to build on the success of previous bilateral agreements across various sectors that have benefited both countries’ citizens. In this regard, the Deputy King further noted that the strength of bilateral ties between Bahrain and Turkey has contributed to a united vision for both countries across a range of mutual interests, particularly with respect to regional security and stability. For his part, His Excellency Turan expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and further expressed appreciation for His Royal Highness’ commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation, which has contributed to the development and prosperity of both countries and their citizens.
