Bahrain stands by Saudi Arabia in facing Iranian conspiracies

Riyadh, Sep. 9 (BNA): Bahraini ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa stressed Bahrain's support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in facing the Iranian conspiracies to shake security and stability of the Arab and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. He pointed out Iran's readiness to use all means to attain its suspicious goals to impose its control on the whole region. In an article published by Bahraini Al-Watan newspaper, Shaikh Humood said the media campaigns waged by Iran against Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states are part of the terrorist plots being woven since the rise of Mullahs to power. He added the Iranian accusations that Saudi Arabia is banning the Iranian pilgrims from performing Hajj are blatant lies since the kingdom has given Iran more than one chance to register the Iranian pilgrims without any politicisation of this Islamic pillar. However, he noted, the Iranian government refused and insisted on its stance which shows that it is using pilgrims as a political weapon. The Bahraini ambassador said: "We are fully aware that the government of Tehran is playing a dangerous political game as it is not keen on its nationals' performance of Hajj but wants to use Hajj for political ends which have become clear to all." He lauded the tremendous efforts of Saudi Arabia spearheaded by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to serve the pilgrims and facilitate performing its rituals for all Muslims without exception. He also voiced satisfaction at the arrangements taken by the Saudi government to facilitate performing the rituals of Hajj and Umrah for all Muslims.
