Bahrain welcomes US-Russian ceasefire deal for Syria

Manama, Sep. 10 (BNA): Bahrain has welcomed the important results reached during the consultations between the US and Russia and which led to reaching a ceasefire deal in Syria. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on all parties to abide by the ceasefire agreement in order to reach a peaceful and comprehensive settlement to end the Syrian crisis. "The ministry affirms its full support to the Russian-American agreement to resolve the Syrian crisis, and stresses that these contacts are the right and proper way to end it, as well as to reach an international agreement, to develop the appropriate solutions within Syria and neutralize regional interference with negative impacts on the efforts settling the crisis. It will also help preserve the integrity of the Syrian territories and ensure the arrival of humanitarian aid into Syria and neighbouring countries hosting Syrian refugees. The ministry stressed the significance of the crucial Arab League role in ending the crisis and achieving the aspirations of the Syrians for stability and peace, the statement added.
