HM King returns

Manama, Sep. 11 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa returned to Bahrain after a visit to Russia. He was welcomed mainly by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. HM the King left Russia wrapping up a visit to the country at an invitation by Russian President Vladimir Putin during which he held talks with the Russian President on ways of boosting bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments. A number of agreements and memoranda of understanding to bolster bilateral cooperation were also concluded. HM the King also paid a visit to the International military-technical forum "Army-2016" held in Kubinka in Moscow suburbs. HM the King was bidden farewell at Moscow Airport by the Head of the Russian Antioch Church pastors, the Russian Foreign Ministry Protocols Director, Bahraini Ambassador to Russia Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Sa’ati, Russian Ambassador to Bahrain Vagif Garaev and members of the Bahraini embassy. HM the King sent a cable of thanks to the Russian President for the invitation and for the good welcome and hospitality. He underlined strong and distinguished relations between Bahrain and Russia, pointing out that the positive outcome of his visit to Russia is a clear proof of joint keenness to further cement ties binding both countries. HM the King voiced keenness to welcome the Russian President in Bahrain soon for more cooperation regarding regional issues of common concern and to further promote friendly relations between both countries and peoples. HM the King also expressed happiness about attending the second international military forum which was organised by the Russian Defence Ministry and brought together major companies in defence manufacturing. He took pride in the friendly relations between both countries, wishing the Russian President abundant good health and happiness and more progress and prosperity to the Russian people.
