Large turnout as “Eid Surprises at Bab Al Bahrain" is launched

Manama, Sep. 12 (BNA): As part of the Kingdom’s Eid Al Adha celebration, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) kicked off a fun-filled “Eid Surprise” event at the heart of Manama Suq. Celebrations are scheduled to continue until the third day of Eid with festivities from 6:00pm until 10:00pm. The event, which witnessed a large turnout of visitors to the old Suq, included a variety of festive activities including musical performances that suit different musical palettes, alongside the traditional music that showcases the Kingdom's heritage. The activities also included magic shows, cultural shows and art-related activities such as graffiti and calligraphy. Visitors also had the opportunity to participate in the cultural competition “Guess and Win” with rewards for participants. Commenting on the Eid celebration; Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, the Chief Executive of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority said: “The Eid Surprises in Bab Al Bahrain comprises a variety of events and activities suitable for everyone. We seek to highlight the vast potential of Bab Al Bahrain and showcase its ability to embrace modern tourism activities whilst highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s heritage for both residents and tourists.” BTEA will also host two of the most popular live television shows. Both events were held as a part of the ‘Manama Gulf Capital of Tourism 2016’ events that contribute towards the economic vision 2030.
