Capital governor congratulates new BBA president

Manama, Sep. 13 (BNA): Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa has congratulated Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the grandson of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and deputy board chairman of the Riffa Sport Club, for his election uncontested as President of the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA). Shaikh Isa bin Ali’s endorsement as BBA President is the result of the distinguished status he enjoys among the Bahrain sport community, being a youth leader with remarkable contributions to the Bahrain sport movement, who can develop basketball in the kingdom, following the successes achieved by his father, Deputy Premier HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the first BBA President. The governor wished Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa every success in developing the game so as to achieve honourable results at the level of national teams and clubs. Meanwhile, the Capital Governor lauded the tremendous efforts exerted by MP Adel Abdulrahman Al-Assoumi, former BBA President, along with the BBA Board.
