Jordan rejects UN High Commissioner’s report on Bahrain

Amman, Sep. 14 (BNA): Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammed Al Momani today stressed his country’s pride in its ties with Bahrain. In statements to Petra, Momani said that Jordan stands by Bahrain in various conditions and rallies behind the Bahraini brethren's stances, stressing deep-rooted relations binding King Abdulla II of Jordan and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. The minister made the remarks in light of recent criticism against the Kingdom of Bahrain's human rights conditions by the UN Human Rights Council. Momani said that Jordan is confident Bahrain would honour its commitments towards human rights and public freedoms.
