Government forum in tune with Economic Vision 2030

Manama, Sep. 15 (BNA): Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Mutawa said the government forum which will be held on September 18 under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and which was announced by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, is part of the government's efforts to carry out its strategy according to set up goals and priorities and in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 which is based on the three principles: sustainability, competitiveness and justice. Al Mutawa pointed out that the government had focused in its action plan on six citizen-oriented themes to preserve achievements and boost citizens' welfare. He added that the government's action plan is a translation of the royal directives to bolster security and stability, boost the national economy, achieve sustainable development and promote citizens' welfare. The minister lauded cooperation between the legislative and executive branches, stressing that coordination will remain the government's approach. He pointed out that the next phase will witness more cooperation between the two branches to implement the government's action plan. He underlined the government's resolve to go ahead with carrying out its programme to achieve citizens' aspirations and optimize services provided for them. He also underscored keenness of the ministries and government institutions to implement schemes as scheduled in line with the directives of HRH the Premier. He pointed out the government's keenness to develop the national economy and diversify revenues despite regional challenges and the international drop in oil prices.
