Crown Prince highlights importance of bolstering existing Bahrain-UK trade relations

Manama, Sep. 18 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received the United Kingdom’s Secretary of State for International Trade, Dr. Liam Fox, at Gudaibiya Palace. During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the deep and long-standing ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, noting the steady growth of bilateral cooperation and coordination across various sectors. His Royal Highness went on to stress that Bahrain is keen to further develop commercial and trade relations to increase bi-lateral economic development. In this regard, His Royal Highness and Dr. Fox discussed ways to boost investment opportunities that support the Kingdom’s long-term sustainable development goals. His Royal Highness went on to note that Bahrain has strengthened its overall economic position despite challenges in the region by successfully increasing competitiveness and attracting investment. For his part, Dr. Fox expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and extended his appreciation for His Royal Highness’ continued support to the development of bilateral economic and trade relations.
