Deputy Premier attends award-distribution ceremony

Manama, Sep. 20 (BNA): A ceremony was held today to distribute the Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work, in the presence of Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa. Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa patronized the prize-distribution ceremony, which was organized by the Good Word Society, in cooperation with the Arab Union for Voluntary Work. Senior officials and award guests from Bahrain and abroad attended the ceremony. Deputy Premier Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of activities and functions that promote the values of dedication and hard-work in Arab societies. He hailed the initiatives embraced by Good Word Society Honorary Chairman Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa to promote voluntary work in Arab societies, citing particularly the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa paid tribute to the wise leadership for spearheading sustainable development. He paid tribute to his Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa for his crucial role in laying the foundations for social responsibility. Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa, patron of the ceremony, was presented with the award shield. The winners of Best Bahraini Voluntary Work Project were also honoured, along with the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work. A documentary film was shown, shedding light on the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa Award and development plans over the past six years.
