Foreign Minister attends work lunch hosted by UK State Secretary

New York, Sep. 20 (BNA): The Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, took part in a work lunch hosted by the UK Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Boris Johnson, for GCC ministers of foreign affairs on the sidelines of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York. They reviewed the progress of ties and the means of bolstering these relations for further benefits as well as exchanged views on bolstering security and stability in the region, in addition to develop coordination between the two sides on regional and international issues of mutual interest. Shaikh Khalid affirmed the continued joint meetings between the GCC states and the UK to bolster the interests of both sides and contribute to establishing a solution to the crisis in the region to maintain security and achieve progress and prosperity for people in the region.
