Crown Prince meets Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador, highlights significant success of this year’s pilgrimage

Manama, Sep. 21 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr Abdullah bin Abdulmalik Al Al-Shaikh, at Riffa Palace. His Royal Highness highlighted the success of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage, which demonstrated Saudi Arabia’s ability and efforts to successfully manage large-scale religious rituals that bring together millions of worshippers from around the world. The Crown Prince noted that the continuous support and dedication provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as the efforts provided by the Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior His Royal Highness Muhammad bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence His Royal Highness Mohammad bin Salman Al Saud, had a significant impact on the success of this year’s pilgrimage. His Royal Highness further noted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the further development of holy sites, as reflected by the continual expansion of the Grand Mosque of Mecca. His Royal Highness went on to highlight Bahraini-Saudi historic ties, and praised the Ambassador’s role in further developing and consolidating cooperation between the two countries. In response, the Saudi Ambassador expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness and expressed appreciation for His Royal Highness’s support in further strengthening bilateral ties. His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, attended the meeting.
