ASEAN community games to start with bowling

Manama, Sep. 21 (BNA): the ASEAN community in Bahrain will begin their series of ASEAN Games this year with bowling competition to be held at Funland Centre on Friday . In the event, five ASEAN countries that have Embassies in Manama will be taking part - Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines. Three teams from each country will be contesting in the game under three different categories – Team Event, Singles and Doubles. For this year, the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam is the organising committee for this game. The Bowling event is part of the ASEAN Games 2016. Other sports which are also scheduled to be held this year including Badminton; Table Tennis; Volley Ball and Football. Each of ASEAN Embassy in Manama has been assigned to be the organiser for these sports to be held in the coming months. The Embassy of Malaysia in Manama with the help of its community here were the founder of the ASEAN Game, which started since 2012, with football matches between the ASEAN communities in Bahrain. It was later extended to bowling tournament from last year.
