Solid Bahrain-US relations hailed

Manama, Sep. 22 (BNA): Speaker of the Representatives Council, Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, has affirmed the depth of the long-standing relations between Bahrain and the USA. He highlighted the Representatives Council's keenness on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, including the consolidation of parliamentary cooperation with the US Congress, and supporting joint economic projects. Al-Mulla made the statements while receiving here today, in the presence of First Deputy Speaker, Ali Al-Aradi, the US Ambassador to Bahrain, William Roebuck. The speaker highlighted the efforts exerted by the Kingdom in various fields, valuing highly Bahrain's strides in the political, diplomatic, development and human rights fields, under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's leadership. He stressed that Bahrain is making steadfast strides to consolidate its constitutional and legal approach in dealing positively and in a civilised way with the important and vital issues, especially human rights, protection of freedoms and consolidation of the state of law and institutions spearheaded by HM the King and the government's efforts. Al-Mulla also reviewed with the ambassador ways to bolster bilateral relations to achieve more joint cooperation and coordination for the best interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
