Foreign Minister meets UNGA president

New York, Sep. 23 (BNA): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, met the President of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), Peter Thomson, on the sidelines of the meetings of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly. The minister extended his sincere congratulations to Mr. Peter Thomson for the trust placed in his person by the international community and his assignment to the post of President of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly. He renewed the commitment of the Kingdom of Bahrain to providing Mr. Thomson with all forms of support and cooperation to contribute to the success of his mission in reinforcing inter-states bonds and preserving world peace and security.
