HRH Premier orders retention of 23 temporary employees

Manama, Oct. 4 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has ordered the retention of 23 temporary employees working at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning after their temporary contracts have expired. He also ordered the extension of the training period of 66 citizens for another three months who had worked in the same ministry on a temporary basis of the list of 1912 university graduates who were enrolled in Tamkeen Training Programme and their employment periods were expired, until their situations are settled. HRH Prime Minister's order reflects his keen interest in correcting their situations and keeping them out of unemployment until suitable alternatives are reached. HRH Prime Minister also ordered the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning to settle the situations of Tamkeen's trainees working at the ministry during the current period in coordination with the Ministry of Labour and Social Development. HRH Premier's order comes in reply to the temporary employees's appeals after their contracts with the Ministry of Works were expired. HRH Premier then ordered the retention of 23 temporary employees in permanent jobs in coordination with the Civil Service Bureau to ensure them descent life. Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Eng. Essam Abdullah Khalaf expressed sincere appreciation of HRH Premier's aforementioned orders, affirming HRH Premier's directives will provide further impetus for the same to exert more efforts to contribute together with their colleagues to upgrading the municipal and service works.
