FINANCE MINISTER FREEZES LICENSES OF THREE PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS

Jakarta, Jan. 21 (ANTARA) - The finance minister has frozen the licenses of three public accountants, namely Rutlan Hidayat, Muhamad Zen, and Atang Djaelani.

A press statement of the finance ministry said here on Wednesday that Rutlan Hidayat's license was frozen for nine months as of December 15, 2008, based on the finance minister's decree 866/KM.1/2008.
Muhamad Zen's license was frozen for three months as of December 22, 2008, in accordance with the finance minister's decree no. 896/KM.1/2008, and Atang Djaelani's permit was frozen also for three months starting December 17, 2008, through the finance ministry decree's no. 877/KM.1/2008.
Rutlan Effendi was sanctioned for violating the Auditing Standard and the Public Accountant Professional Standard when auditing the financial report of PT. Serasi Tunggal Mandiri for the year which ended December 31, 2006.
Muhamad Zen got the sanction for violating the Auditing Standard and the Public Accountant Professional Standard when auditing the financial report of PT.Pura Binaka Mandiri in the 2007 book year.
Meanwhile, public accountant Atang Djaelani has been given three warnings within the last 48 months, but it continued to make violation by not submitting his business activity and financial reports.
